Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Fusobacterium nucleatum vincentii was originally described and validly published by Dzink et al. 1990. Kook et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of (ex Veillon and Zuber 1898) Gharbia and Shah 1992 in 2013. Kook et al. elevated this subspecies to the rank of species to form the name (Dzink et al. 1990) Kook et al. 2022 in 2022.
