Nomenclatural History
The species Roseivirga ehrenbergii was originally described and validly published by Nedashkovskaya et al. 2005. Hahnke et al. published an emended description of this species in 2016. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Nedashkovskaya et al. in 2008. Nedashkovskaya et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of (Yoon et al. 2005) Lau et al. 2006 emend. García-López et al. 2019 in 2008.
