Nomenclatural History
The species Pedobacter antarcticus was originally described and validly published by Farfán et al. 2014. Farfán et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of (Takeuchi and Yokota 1993) Steyn et al. 1998 emend. Farfán et al. 2014 in 2014. Farfán et al. formed this name in 2014 by placing the species corrig. Shivaji et al. 1992 into the genus Steyn et al. 1998 emend. Wei et al. 2018.
