Nomenclatural History	The species Planctopirus limnophilus was originally described by Scheuner et al. 2014. This name was validly published by Oren and Garrity 2015. Upon validation, this name was corrected from Planctopirus limnophilus (sic) to Planctopirus limnophila . Scheuner et al. formed this name in 2014 by placing the species Planctomyces limnophilus Hirsch and Müller 1986 into the genus Planctopirus Scheuner et al. 2015.
